In the words of Bernard Hopkins in the pre-fight interview, "I picked this common dude to give him a boxing lesson in my retirement fight. I will show to the world that I am special while he's common." Bernie strike again this Saturday (who can forget his statement before his fight against Joe Calzaghe "I will never let a white boy beat me", moments before Joe Calzaghe box Hopkins's ears off), but things didn't go that well for him. It appears to me like "Common" Joe Smith Jr. ruined the retirement party there and gave Bernard his first KO loss in a spectacular way. Now, that's a fight Bernie will never forget.
