Happened to me once, diesel all over the road, probably from an overfilled tank on a truck. Broke my shoulder. Hope his insurance covers this because it clearly wasn't his fault.

Why doesn't anyone get out and help him free his bike ffs? It would have taken you possibly 30 seconds. Is 30 seconds of your time that valuable that you can't stop and help another human being? have some decency

That is why you should avoid riding in the middle of the road...
oil stains, dirt, debris, water dripping from the AC, all that shit is left by cars in the middle... you should follow either left or right car tire path when not sure about the road condition.
Exactly same thing happened to me 2 times, managed to save it once.
