Moving A Building In Zwitserland

A general view of a 6200 tonnes heavy and 123-year-old brick building that was moved 60 m (0.037 miles) west from its original location is seen at its final location at the railway station in Zurich Oerlikon May 23, 2012. With the translocation of the 80 m (252 ft) long building, it paves the way for the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) to expand its tracks at Switzerland's seventh-largest railway station Zurich Oerlikon. Switzerland's real estate investment company Swiss Prime Site has invested roughly CHF 12 million ($12.6 million) in order to preserve the former executive office building of the tool and machinery factory Oerlikon (MFO).
