Erm, if you're traveling in any emergency vehicle, you don't legally need to wear a seat-belt. At least that's the law on seat-belts here in England. If you're delivering goods and the stops are no more than 165 feet apart, you don't need one, if you're traveling in reverse you don't need one either. Also, cars made without seat belts are exempt from seat-belt laws too. My car was made in 1963, and doesn't have any, so don't need to wear one! Only thing is, children under three aren't allowed in, and those aged 3 and above have to sit in the back.

Taxis don't have to wear seatbelts either. You also don't need to wear a seatbelt when driving in reverse.

Still gets me that they can park in the middle of a freeway island for no other purpose than to look for speeders. Certainly create an unnecessarily dangerous situation for the purposes of revenue collection.

umm.. emergency vehicles don't need to wear seatbelts.. they also can talk on the cell phone... most HTA laws don't apply
